Helen Anna May Tansey, Wolfe, 98 passed away peacefully in Toms River, Saturday, April 15, 2023.
She was born in Jersey City, moved to Kearny and then to Lavallette, NJ.
Anna May worked for The Hudson County Welfare Board for 36 years.
Anna May was the beloved wife to the late Ted, cherished mom to Ted (deceased), Robert, William (Pat). She was proud to be called Grandma, Nanny to her grandchildren, Bobby, Jennifer, Lisa (deceased), Michael (Lisa), Teddy, Joe (Shayla), Crissy (Steve) and Great Grandma of Felicia, John, Kaylee, Cameron, and Christian.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Anna May loved Jesus and her family. Anna May was a Parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Padre Pio Church, Lavallette, and a member of the Rosary Society. She served on the Ambulance Squad in Lavallette, and many other organizations. She enjoyed playing Shuffle Board (and was pretty good). Loved sitting on the Beach, going out to breakfast and shopping!
Anna May will be missed by her family and many friends. She lived a life of the Fruits of the Spirit, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, April 20, 2023 10:00am at the Parish of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, Lavallette, NJ. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
