Henry "Hank" Savino, 73, died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of July 8th in his home. Originally from Hackensack, N.J., Hank attended Fairleigh Dickinson College. For over thirty years, Hank ran a much beloved local pizza place, Savino’s Pizza, with his brother, Bob, in Paramus, N.J. After his first wife, Mary, died in 1994, he found love again, and married Ellen Savino.
After Hank retired, he and Ellen moved to Toms River where they enjoyed watching ships along the river, doing crossword puzzles, and cooking wonderful meals.
Hank will be dearly missed, and we will think of him every time we make one of his many delicious recipes. He is survived by his wife Ellen; his two daughters Elizabeth and Kathleen; his stepson Richard and his brothers Rick, Bob, and Tom.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.
