Hugh L. Curtis

Hugh Lawrence Curtis, 75, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully in his home on August 13, 2022.

Hugh’s family and friends will always remember him for his compassion, generous spirit, and sense of humor. He was proud of his community involvement, and he loved all kinds of music and animals, but most of all, he loved fishing, especially with his boys. Hugh was a family man, devoted to his wife and children.

Hugh graduated from Henry Hudson High School in Atlantic Highlands and worked for over 35 years as a Master Carpenter before changing careers and attending Riverview Medical where he received a degree in Radiologic Technology.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Kathryn (McDonough) Curtis, son Jesse Curtis and wife Tracy, son Tim Curtis and husband Adam, daughter Kathryn Curtis, and sisters Ruth Levin and Marcia Auch.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 2 to 4pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ.
