James P. Burke, 80, of the Holiday City Heights section of Berkeley Township died on June 12, 2026.
Born in Tipperary, Ireland he lived in North Bergen and Highland Lakes before coming to Holiday Heights in 2015.
He was a Chief Technician working in the Dialysis field in New York City for many years. He was a parishioner of St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twsp. Surviving is his loving wife Paula nee Poglio. Two sons Michael(Eileen) and Sean(Colleen)and his daughter Carrie Ann(Robert)Sheehan and his 8 grandchildren Megan, Shamus, Kaylie, Shannon, Riley, Brett, Cameron and Cora.
Jim and his wife Paula of 57 years enjoyed many trips to his beloved Ireland over the years, even married there and living in Dublin for a few years.
He loved his retirement days living at the Jersey Shore boating, crabbing, his model train collection and his Jack Russell Missy.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for James on Tuesday June 16, 2026 from 3 to 6pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday 10am at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twsp. Burial to follow St Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Toms River.
