James Hayden, Sr. Obituary

James T. Hayden, Sr., 85, of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021.

Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Jackson, NJ, before moving to Berkeley Twp., NJ thirteen years ago.

He proudly served our country in the United States Navy.

Jim loved his career as a Fireman for the Newark Fire Department retiring in 1984. He became a Realtor and then, due to his love of golf, became a starter for the Lakewood Country Club.

Jim was a dedicated parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Natalie (Brown) Hayden, his parents Albert and Ethel (Schenck) Hayden, as well as his brother Albert Hayden.

He will be forever missed by his loving family; daughter Kathy and her husband Chris Lamb of Allentown, NJ, son James T., Jr. and his wife Kim Hayden of Brooklyn, NY, son Timothy Hayden of Henderson, NV, daughter Kelly and her husband Andy Johnson of Neptune City, NJ, his sisters; Maryann Miller, Peggy Schel, Patty Pirog, and Maureen Banias, as well as seven grandchildren; Luke Lamb, Kelsey Lamb, Mitch Lamb, Hank Johnson, Brian DeBoer, Daniel DeBoer, and Christopher DeBoer.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12:30pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow to the BG William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
