James F. Tevlin Jr.

James F. Tevlin, Jr., 83, of Toms River, NJ passed away on April 30, 2026 at home.

Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth before moving to Toms River.

James proudly served in the United States Air force

He was a carpenter and member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 715 in Elizabeth, NJ for many years.

James was a member of the VFW, American Legion of Seaside Heights and Elizabeth, NJ and the Loyal Order of Moose, Seaside Heights, NJ

He was predeceased by his parents James F. Tevlin Sr. and Margaret (nee Luxich) Tevlin and his sisters; Ann Bowden and Kathy Von Spreckelsen

James is survived by his wife Maureen (nee Reidy), daughters Maggie Baribeault and Christie Tevlin, both of North Carolina and his son Luke Anger of Toms River, NJ, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 1:00pm - 4:00pm with a 4:00pm funeral service at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, NJ. Committal will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
