Janet L. (MacGeorge) Solewski

Janet Lynne (nee MacGeorge) Solewski, 82 of Brick NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, Janet resided in Morris Plains and Colts Neck NJ, before moving to Brick 26 years ago.

Janet was a graduate of Frank Morrell High School in Irvington, NJ. She also graduated from Katherine Gibbs School and attended Parsons School of Design.

She was a receptionist for many medical offices and a part-time server at Huddy’s Inn in Colts Neck, where everyone who knew her, loved her. She retired in 2019, as a receptionist for a neuropsychology office in Brick.

Janet enjoyed gardening, art, cooking, sunsets, puzzles and reading but most importantly spending time with her family. She was a kind-hearted, caring person with a great sense of humor. She will be sorely missed.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, John Solewski, Jr., her parents John and Anne MacGeorge (Malarek) and sister, Joyce Nankervis.

Janet is survived by her three children, Christine Solewski of Brick, NJ, Teri Faccibene (Jason) of Toms River, NJ and John Solewski III (Danielle Marone) of Toms River, NJ, a grandson, Jaycob Solewski, three nephews, Kenneth, Robert and Greg Adams, her two nieces Sarah and Rachel Boulton and many great nieces and nephews. Janet was also loved by her four grand fur-children, Rogi, Chloe, Carlos and Loki.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 1-4pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd, Toms River. Funeral will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
