Jean (Williams) Meehan

Jean Meehan (Williams) of Toms River, NJ passed away on August 30, 2021.

Jean was born on September 6, 1941 in Wales, Great Britain. Her mother Rosie Williams was a homemaker and her father Griffith Williams was a coal miner.

She grew up in Ynysmeudw in Wales and spoke Welsh and English. Jean came to America on the Queen Mary in 1964, met John Meehan in 1966, and were married in Brooklyn NY in 1967. She was married for 52 years when her husband John passed away in June 2019.

She is survived by her sister Nan Edwards who lives in Great Britain, her son Michael Meehan, his wife Sharon and her granddaughter Brooke Lynne.

She was predeceased by her sister Bet Wright and her brother Arwyn Williams.
