Joan (Taggart) Farley

Joan Farley, 94 of Lanoka Harbor, NJ died on Tuesday August 16, 2022 at Tallwoods Nursing Home in Bayville, NJ. Joan was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and lived in Hazlet and Barnegat, NJ before moving to Lanoka Harbor, NJ. She loved to play tennis, was in a sewing club and was a volunteer for Birthright. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, bird watching and baking her famous apple crisp.

Joan is predeceased by her parents John and Norah Taggart; her husband Joseph Farley and her siblings James and Norah Taggart.

Surviving are her children Mary Washington of Lanoka Harbor, NJ and Joseph Farley of Winter Park, FL; her sister Celia Wall of Hamilton, VA; her five grandchildren Christopher Hunerberg and wife Daniela, Steven Hunerberg and wife Ashley, Katelyn Hunerberg, Alec Washington, Alaina Washington and Fiance Joseph Mayo and her two great grandchildren Hudson and Hayden Hunerberg.

Family will receive friends on Monday August 22, 2022 from 9-10:30am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 706 US Hwy. 9 Bayville, NJ 08721. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11am to St. Barnabas RC Church in Bayville, NJ. Burial will take place at 1:30pm at BG William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
