Joan M. Piromalli

 Joan M. Piromalli (nee Goodheart), 92, of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away peacefully Friday, October 20, 2023.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she lived in Woodbridge, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1986.

Joan was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. She was very proud of her Irish Heritage.

She enjoyed participating in many activities at Silver Ridge Park North such as playing bocce ball, shuffleboard, being a part of the Women’s Club & all social activities at the clubhouse.  Joan was an avid reader and also enjoyed playing cards.

Joan and Dominick enjoyed traveling and were each other’s favorite dance partner.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Nelson and Catherine Goodheart, her brother Aniel Goodheart and her sister Patricia Engleke.

Joan is survived by her devoted  husband of 72 years Dominick Piromalli, her son and daughter in law Frank J. and Joan Piromalli of Lumberton, NJ, her daughter and son in law Joanne and Bob DeGoria of Yardley, PA,, her dear siblings; Helen Laughery, Dorothy Dodd, Thomas, Joseph, David and Robert Goodheart, her  five loving grandchildren Robert DeGoria and wife Sonja, Frank Piromalli and wife Emily, Michael DeGoria and wife Carolyn, Paul Piromalli and fiancé Dana, and Christine Piromalli,her four precious  great grandchildren Mason, Sienna, Dominick, and Damian DeGoria and also many special nieces and nephews. 

Her number one passion was her family and being there for her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 23, 2023 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, October 24, 2023 10:00am at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River.  Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
