John R. Anderson

John R. Anderson, 89 of Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully at his home surrounded by family. John was born February 17, 1936 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Alexander and Mary Anderson. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed his weekly trips to Atlantic City

John is predeceased by his parents, Alexander Anderson, Mary Robb Anderson; sister, Martha Spalding and her husband Thomas; their daughter Marion Herney; sister, Marion Losski and her husband, Tony.

John is survived by his wife, Margaret Mechan Anderson; son, Alexander Anderson and his wife Carol of Pennsylvania; 4 granddaughters and their husbands along with 12 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering with be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm, with a Service to begin at 2pm at Timothy E. Rayan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
