John Salvatore DiRese

John Salvatore DiRese, 22, of Ortley Beach, NJ, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Born in Ridgewood, NJ, he lived in Harrington Park, NJ before moving to Ortley Beach 8 years ago.

John was in his Junior year studying Radio, Television & Film at Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ and was part of the Toms River East Thespians & Eastside Theatre Company in high school. John loved to perform and make people laugh.

He was a parishioner of St. Catharine of Siena RC of the Parish of St. Junipero Serra, Seaside Park and sang in the Church choir on several occasions.

John is survived by his parents Salvatore and Kathryn (nee Sauerwein) DiRese of Ortley Beach, his sister Alexis DiRese of Ortley Beach and his maternal grandmother Loretta Sauerwein of Ortley Beach.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 17, 2024 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Ave., Lavallette, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, November 18, 2024 10:00am at St. Catharine of Siena RC Church of the Parish of St. Junipero Serra, Seaside Park, NJ.  Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle, NJ.
