John Peter Grotto, Sr., 87, of Berkeley Township, formerly of Staten Island, New York, passed from this life Saturday, June 27, 2020. John was born January 12, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Louis and Isabella Grotto. He was a member of St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, Holiday City West Bocce Club and Bowling Club. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, devoted father and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

John is predeceased by his parents, Louis Grotto; Isabella Forte Grotto; daughter, Roseann Cassano; and grandson, John Jason Grotto.

John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Fioriello Grotto; sons, John Grotto, Jr. and his wife JoAnne of Hudson, Florida; Douglas Grotto of Toms River, NJ; grandchildren, Michael Grotto, Nicole Cassano and Frank Cassano.
