John Edward Lahey

John Edward Lahey, 78 of Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025. John was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1946 to the late John and Catherine Lahey. John was a loving husband, devoted father and proud grandfather.  He enjoyed time spent deep sea fishing but his family was his greatest love and focus.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

John is predeceased by his parents, John Joseph Lahey and Catherine McMahon Lahey.

John is survived by his spouse, Jeanine Michalik Lahey; sons, John Lahey and his wife Sarah; Michael Lahey and Richard Bevilacqua; Thomas Lahey and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren Abigail, Jackson and Aiden.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 8am to 9:30am at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Township, with Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
