Joseph John Dolobacs, 82 of S.Seaside Park passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was a loving husband, devoted father and a proud grandfather.
Born in Trenton, NJ Joseph lived in Hamilton Township before moving to S. Seaside Park 22 years ago. Joseph was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School class of 1961. He served in The United States Coast Guard and worked for the Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory for 46 years.
Joseph enjoyed the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He could often be seen at the North jetty of Island Beach State Park catching blues. He was also known to many as "Bucktail Joe" for his hand-crafted fishing lures and fishing advice. When indoors, Joseph enjoyed wood-working in his workshop and creating one of a kind pieces, both large and small. Joseph was also a diehard Packers fan. He was a proud stockholder of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed many years of football games.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 59 years and best friend, Patricia Dolobacs; his son and significant other Brian M. Dolobacs and Maria Nicolletti of Bordentown, NJ; his daughter and her husband Karen M. Cappello and John Cappello of S. Seaside Park; and two grandsons for whom he was especially proud, Ethan James Cappello of Los Angeles, California and Noah Joseph Cappello of Charlotte, North Carolina.
