Joseph M. Petolino

Joseph M. Petolino, 99, of Whiting, NJ, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in the Ironbound section of Newark then Kearny, NJ.  Following his retirement, he moved to Berkeley Twp. in 1986 before moving to Whiting 3 years ago.

Joseph worked in Administration for AT&T in South Kearny for many years.

He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus John D. McMahon Assembly #1926.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife Julia in 2004.

He is survived by his two children Dorothea Nevins (Bill Pivarnick) of Whiting, NJ, Joseph F. Petolino (Denise) of Zionsville, Indiana, six grandchildren Alex, Michael (Marlo), David (Donna), Joseph (Jessica), Daniel (Meghan) and Juli (David) and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 16, 2025 9:00am – 10:30am with a funeral service to be offered at 10:00am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.  Please No flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
