Joy Tomko Obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Joy Ellen Tomko, age 71, of Berkley

Township. She passed peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, surrounded by family. Joy

was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on January 22, 1953, to the late Howard Bilbee and Joyce

Conway. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Joy was known for her

strength, diligence, and abundant love for her family and friends.

     Joy cherished her quality time with those she loved. Gathering, sharing laughter, and

reminiscing together were some of her favorite times. Joy also loved vacationing in Jamaica

with her beloved husband, Andy. She rejoiced in telling stories and prided herself on

helping those she loved. Joy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

     Joy was greeted in Heaven by her son, Wade Tomko; parents, Howard Bilbee and Joyce

Conway; brother, Alan Bilbee; sister, Donna Campbell; and niece, Carla Poissant.

     Joy is survived by her husband, Andy Tomko; son, Shawn Tomko and his wife, Cheryl; her

granddaughter, Skylar Tomko, whom she adored; brother, Howard Bilbee and his wife,

Candy; her sister, Audrey Bilbee, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

     A Memorial Gathering will be held from 11 am to 1 pm, Sunday, October 20, 2024, at

Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
