Judith Smith

Judith Smith, 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Born in Newark, NJ, she lived most of her life in Belleville before moving to Verona Senior Citizens and then to Toms River two years ago to be with her daughter.

Judy was a Data Processor for Aon Financial in Lyndhurst for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crafting, spending time on her hobbies, a good television marathon, Lifetime movies, and game shows, but her favorite pastime was smoking. Judy, better known to many as Miss Judy, Aunt Judy, Ju-Bee, or simply The Bug, was truly one of a kind. She had a personality that filled a room, a sense of humor that kept everyone laughing, and a heart big enough to make just about anyone feel like family.

Judy was predeceased by her parents, William and Marie; her brothers, Edward and Stanley; her sister, Jeannie; her niece, Maria and her nephew, Danny.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Eva, and son-in-law, Michael; Samantha, David, Sabrina, and Tyler; her grand-dogs, Zoey, Coco, and Rocco; her sister Betty and her husband Ed; John, Lulu, and Mary Jo; her daughter's friends; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Burial will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
