June S Pendino

June Pendino, of Bay Head, passed away on May 17, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born on June 24,1945 in Lakewood NJ. June attended Central Regional High School, earned a B.S. from Montclair State college and a Masters in counseling & guidance from Kean University. She was employed at Watchung Hills Regional High School throughout her 33 year career first as a teacher then as a guidance counselor.

June was a member of the Seaweeders Garden Club and served as President in 2010-2011.

Member of the Bay Head Yacht Club and the First Presbyterian Church. June was a regular attendee at the Bay Head Chapel for many years.

June crewed many races over the years in many classes for the Bay Head Yacht Club on the Barnegat Bay. Her most recent racing was in the Sandpiper Class. An annual regatta, The Rose Memorial which was always June's favorite. June created many of the trophies for this special event.

She loved to read and tend her garden in her Bay Head home. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. She was devoted to her great nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters Lynn & Judy, brother Stephen. Her nephews Scott, Stephen & Danny; her nieces Lisa & Stephanie as well as 11 great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church in Lavallette.
