Kathleen Petrone (nee Martin), 92, of Toms River, NJ passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Born in Staten Island, NY, Kathy resided in Toms River for the last 35 years.
She loved her life as a wife, her appreciative and loving children and their spouses, her “Magnificent Seven” grandchildren and their spouses, and her great granddaughter.
Kathy was in many arts and crafts groups, bowling leagues and did volunteer work for her Parish, St. Maximilian Kolbe, where she worked Bingo, worked in the kitchen and even counted envelopes for a short period of time. She took on many other jobs and never stopped moving, her energy put us all to shame. Even later in life, her curiosity and creativity never faded as she enrolled in art classes, eagerly anticipating each session and completing her homework with pride. Multi -talented, creative and caring, she put the needs of others always before her own.
Her family was the center of her world, and she made sure each person felt deeply loved and appreciated. She dedicated her life to her family and her community, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and devotion.
Kathy was also a member of the Columbiettes, of which she was most proud.
She leaves a son Thomas and a daughter in law Maria, also daughters Patrice Acer, Kim Storrow and son in law John, her “Magnificent Seven” grandchildren Andrew, Kerilyn, Alexander and wife Amanda, Kimberly, Kelsi, Anthony and Gianna, a great granddaughter Carmela and many nieces and nephews.
