Kathleen Marie Rivera

Kathleen Marie Rivera, 35 of Jackson, formerly of Brooklyn, passed from this life peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Kathleen was born in Brooklyn to Angel and Madeline Rivera. She is best described by her family as loving, creative, selfless, intelligent, and compassionate. She was a music teacher; an aspiring recording artist signed to a major label and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Kathleen is predeceased by her father, Angel Luis Rivera-Trevino.

Kathleen is survived by, mother, Madeline Rivera; Uncle, Dennis Smyth, sisters, Margaret Franco and her husband Michael; Jennifer Rivera Grosso and her husband, Giacomo, Nephew Peter, Nephew James, Niece Madeline, and boyfriend, Joseph Klebanoff.

The family will receive friends and family on Friday, January, 23 2026 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals Debow Chapel, 150 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am, January 23, 2026 at St. Monica RC Church, Jackson. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
