Lex DeWayne Wilkerson, 74, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024. Born in Harrison, Arkansas, he lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving to Toms River in 1998. Lex was a graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. He retired from Kate Spade in North Bergen as a Retail Information Technology Specialist. He is an avid New York Rangers hockey fan, a lifelong railroad modeler/train enthusiast and loved photography. Lex was predeceased by his parents Lex and Martha Wilkerson.
He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Veale), two daughters Maggie Gill and her husband Jason of Broken Arrow, OK and Emily Pathak and her husband Ash of Broken Arrow, OK, two step children John Garafano and his wife Danielle of Woodruff, SC and Kristen Garafano-Wypych and her husband James of Summerville, SC, two sisters Laura Harden of Glenpool, OK, Rebecca Bradford of Benbrook, TX and five grandchildren Britain Gill, Collin Gill, Kade Gill, Jazzmyn Pathak and Kash Pathak and four step grandchildren Jordan Loutraris, Gavin Loutraris, Rowan Garafano and Anthony Garafano.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024 3:00pm – 6:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
