Linda Lorentzen

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Lorentzen (nee Verdina), age 76, of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twp., NJ, announces her peaceful passing on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

She was born in Weehawken, NJ, but grew up in North Bergen, NJ, attending North Bergen High School. In 1985, she moved "down the shore" to Toms River, NJ with her family, before finally moving to her retirement home in Berkeley Twp. in 2002.

Linda worked as a Child Study Team Secretary for the Toms River Regional School System for many years before retiring to babysit her grandchildren.  She enjoyed the simple pleasures of traveling to see old friends and spending time with her children and grandkids.  She also loved cooking, bingo nights, playing cards, trips to Atlantic City and vacationing on cruise lines with her husband, Wayne.

She is survived by her husband Wayne of 53 years, her son Craig Lorentzen and his wife Jen of Toms River, her daughter Cheryl Stakelbeck and her husband Paul of Toms River, four beloved grandchildren Sydney, Ryan, Shannon and Jack and her little Maltese buddy Sammy. 

Services and interment will be private and under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
