Linda Magdosko Obituary

Linda Magdosko (nee Saputo), 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 at home surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born in Leonia, NJ, before starting her life in Ridgefield Park after marrying Paul (Boppo) Magdosko. Their love story began in a bar in Cliffside Park, NJ, where Paul would propose to her the night they met. They married three months later, and since then, Linda was a devoted wife & mother to husband Paul, and daughters Jo-Dee and Paula for 67 years. During this time, Linda worked at Englewood Hospital as a dedicated Hospice Administrator. Linda spent most of her time caring for her family and serving the Church of St. Francis as a member of the Mother’s Guild, doing volunteer work. She was involved in many of the social and student activities for St. Francis. Many of the students knew Linda to be the “fun mom”, as her lively, upbeat personality allowed her to make everlasting impressions on all the children she worked with. Linda also spent many years coaching t-ball & softball for the town of Ridgefield Park. Linda’s talents were many, but she was especially known to be the best cook and loved to host family for dinners and holidays. Of all her accomplishments, Linda was most proud to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. Linda spent most of her retirement caring for her granddaughters, Jaimie, Alexa, and Casie. Linda was truly an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. Linda will be loved and missed forever, and her impact will forever influence those who knew and loved her.

Linda was predeceased by her daughter Paula Magdosko, her parents Frank and Josephine (nee Girardi) Saputo, her brother Frank Saputo and her sister Anita Altobello.

Linda is survived by her husband of 67 years Paul Magdosko, her daughter Jo-Dee Ambrose (Brian Ambrose) of Brick, NJ, her sister Betty Kilmurray of Toms River, her three granddaughters Jaimie Latorre (Victor Ponaski), Alexa Reilly (Trevor Reilly), and Casie Latorre, her nieces and nephews Bob, Mike, Sam, Frank, Kim, Anita and Mike.

Services will be private and under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
