Marcial "Butch" Pivano Obituary

Marcial “Butch” Pivano, 80, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 after a courageous 16 year battle with cancer. Born in Staten Island, NY, he lived in Bayonne, NJ before moving to Eatontown and then Toms River 14 years ago. He proudly served his country in the NJ National Guard. He then established a career as Owner and Operator of Bridge Amoco in Bayonne, NJ alongside his business partner and friend Bernie Agaman. He was also the Owner of The Pro Scene, Bayonne, NJ. Butch was a member of the Bayonne Chamber of Commerce, the Shifters, and of The South Hudson Spiked Shoe Club. As an avid runner, he received the USATF State Championship award for his age group in 1998, he completed numerous marathons and you always knew him at the finish as he gave it 110%. He continued to exercise daily and believed it what was keeping him alive. Butch loved all forms of competition; he could be seen weekly at Monmouth Race Track in The Trophy Room with his racing friends. Las Vegas was the place he loved the most, he got goose bumps stepping off the plane, this love would go on to be passed down to his children. Seeing Elvis live was one of his fondest memories. He loved food, travel, music, and being entertained. Butch is preceded in death by his parents Daniel Pivano and Dorothy (Egbert) Seals, as well as his step father Jack Seals. He will be forever missed by his family, loving wife Holly Boyce, his children; Marcial and his wife Joanne Pivano, Tracey and her husband Michael Fiuza, and Craig and his wife Jennifer Pivano, grandchildren; Taylor, Rachel, Nicholas, Jack, Jordan, and Emma, step children; Keith Boyce, Jody and his wife Vanessa Boyce, and Scott Boyce, step grandchildren; Seth, Jacob, Trinity, James, and Gabriel, several loving in laws, cousins, especially Anna, nieces and nephews who affectionately knew him as Uncle Uncle, first wife Geraldine Pivano, he was also an honorary Agaman, adopting him into their family, and his pet bunny Chance. Thank you for taking me on the ride with you; Viva Las Vegas!
