Margaret Daunno, nee San Filippo, 102, died on Thursday October 30, 2025. Born in Orange, NJ in 1923, she later worked as a Key Punch Operator in Manhattan during World War II. Following his discharge, she married Anthony Daunno and they moved to Springfield, NJ where she continued to work and raise their daughters. On retirement, they moved to Tom’s River, NJ in Ocean County.
Marge and Tony were active members of the local community and church. Margaret was a parishioner of St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township. She was an avid Yankees fan and an unwavering volunteer, giving her time to Second Time Around, Free Care, and her church Bingo. Her family remembers her as an active walker, enthusiastic Line Dance Leader, and for her love of Rummikub, Bocce, and Mahjong.
Predeceased by her parents Louis and Annie (Bivona) and her beloved husband Anthony in 1993. Surviving are her two daughters, Nancy Ann Price and Jean Ward, and five grandchildren, Jennifer Syfert, Heather Wiltshire, Michelle Ward-Chang, Haley Finewood, Dustin Ward, and eleven great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday November 4, 2025 from 9am to 9:30am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10am at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twsp with Entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Pa
