Margaret J. (Collver) Durham

Margaret J. Durham, 99, of Milford, NJ, formerly of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was raised in Irvington, NJ and lived in Berkeley Twp., NJ, before moving to Milford, NJ 5 years ago.

Margaret began her career as a Telephone Operator for New Jersey Bell and later retired from Bell Atlantic in Plainfield, NJ as a Supervisor.

She was an active member of the Seaside Chapter of Deborah, where she served as President.

Margaret was also a member of the Toms River Elk Lodge 1875 and the Telephone Pioneers.

She was predeceased by her sons Gary Gibb in 2008 and Jeffrey Gibb in 2024, her husbands Herb Perks in 1983 and James Durham in 1999 and her granddaughter Carolyn Gibb .

Margaret is survived by her son George Gibb and his wife Sandra of Palatka, FL, her granddaughter Jessica Trevithick and her husband Bobby of Milford, NJ, a great granddaughter Emilie Trevithick, a daughter in law Jane Kiceniuk Gibb of Annandale, NJ  and several step children and step grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  A funeral service will be offered Thursday, April 17, 2025 10:00am at the funeral home.  Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
