Margaret Mullenbrock, 89 of Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ died on Thursday November 11, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Margaret was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Glendale, Queens before moving to Holiday City in 1999.
After raising her children, Marge returned to the workforce where she started as a teller and rose through the ranks becoming one of the first female managers at Hamburg Savings Bank in Brooklyn, NY. Upon retirement Marge moved to Holiday City where she made many new friends and enjoyed all the activities the community had to offer. In 2019 Marge moved to the Pines at Whiting where she remained until her death. In her free time, Marge enjoyed visiting with her friends, routing for her favorite baseball team, the NY Mets and talking with her grandchildren.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Agnes Voege; her husband Alfred Mullenbrock; her brothers Edward and Fred Voege and her sister Agnes Steigner.
Surviving are her children Richard Mullenbrock and his wife Cheryl of Staten Island, NY and Karen Vandervlis and her husband Paul of Staten Island, NY; her sisters Anna Cella of California and Martha Helbig of NY and her three Grandchildren, Steven(Hanna), Patricia(Christopher), and Alex.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday November 17, 2021 from 4-8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. Thursday November 18, 2021 from 9-10am at the Funeral Home, burial will follow to BG William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.
