Margaret G. (Appleman) Worley

Margaret G. Worley (nee Appleman, AKA Apps, Auntie Marg, and Nanny), age 90, of Manchester, NJ, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Kearny, NJ before moving to Manchester in 1996.

Margaret was a Registered Nurse for 40 years, retiring from West Hudson Hospital in 1989.

She was a parishioner of St. John’s RC Church, Lakehurst, and St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Peter James Worley, in 1993.

She is survived by her children Helen (George Richardson, deceased) of Harriman Heights, NY, Peter (Jane) of Toms River, George (Claire) of New York City, Thomas of Kunkletown, PA, eight grandchildren, Peter (Therese), Kaitlyn, Christine, Thomas (Brittany), Michael (Jenna), Christopher (Megan), William (Jasmine), and Maureen, and one great-grandchild, Catherine.

She was active into her late 80s, bowling, dancing, and volunteering at her local library and church. A caregiver to all, a woman of immense faith, gratitude, and love. Her humor and love of life has passed on to all who knew her.

Services and interment will be private. Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Margaret's name to the charity of your choice.
