Margaret "Dolly" Scarano

Margaret "Dolly" Scarano, 92, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024 (Grandparents Day) at Bey Lea Village, Toms River, NJ.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she lived in Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1997.

She was parishioner of St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Michael Scarano in 2004, her three sons Gary, Richard and Joseph Scarano and two daughters Patricia Masciulli and Kathleen Mercurio.

She is survived by her daughter Maria Campanale (Dino) of Jackson, NJ, two sons Michael Scarano (Marci) of Matawan, NJ, and Gerard (Pat) Scarano of Old Bridge, NJ, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  Dolly lived for her family as a devoted homemaker, caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending their events and spending time with them was her greatest joy.  She will truly be missed by so many others who thought of her as a grandma.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 13, 2024 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, September 14, 2024 9:30am at St. Justin the Martyr RC Church, Toms River. Entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
