Mario Guardascione

Mario Guardascione, 82, of Ocean Beach I section of Toms River Twp., NJ, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Born in Naples, Italy, he came to the United States in 1973 and lived in Middletown, NJ then in North Bergen, NJ before moving to Ocean Beach in 1999.

Mario was owner of Mario’s Pizzeria in Normandy Beach, NJ.

He was a parishioner of the Parish of St. Pio, Lavallette, NJ.

Mario was predeceased by his son Gino in 2015 and his parents Carlo and Rosella Guardascione.

He is survived by his wife Gaetana, two sons Carlo Guardascione of Fair Lawn, NJ and Salvatore Guardascione of Ringwood, NJ, his siblings Tony, Salvatore, Robert, Vincent, Luigino, Adele, Anna, Amelia and five grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 10, 2025 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Ave., Lavallette, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, March 11, 2025 10:00am at the Parish of St. Pio, Lavallette, NJ.
