Mary (Corbett) Cunningham

Mary Cunningham (nee Corbett), 99, of Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was raised in County Mayo, Ireland and she lived in West Orange, NJ before moving to Manchester Twp. 36 years ago.

Mary was a parishioner of St. John’s RC Church, Lakehurst, NJ.

She was predeceased by her husband John (Barney) Cunningham in 2006, her parents Patrick and Sabina Corbett, and her siblings John, Jim, Tom, Mick, Eamon, Esther and Rose.

Mary is survived by her four children Mary Ann Babula of Toms River, NJ , Margaret “Maggie” Cunningham of Toms River, NJ, Kathleen Melici of Berkeley Twp., NJ and Brian Cunningham and his wife Lois of Howell, NJ, a brother Pat Corbett, two sisters Eileen Farrell and Sister Veronica Corbett, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, March 13, 2025 9:30am at the Church of the Visitation, 730 Lynnwood Ave, Brick Township, NJ.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. 

Services are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
