Mary Ann Everett was born in Morristown, NJ, to John and Marguerite McCormack, on Jan 22, 1935. She passed away peacefully at age 89, on Monday, Nov 18, 2024. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, Toms River, on Friday, Dec 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM. Mary Ann was a member of the Sisters of Charity, of Saint Elizabeth Convent, NJ, for 20 years, where she was known as Sister Teresa Damien. After graduating from College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent, NJ, with a B.A. in Mathematics, she earned an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. For 43 years Mary Ann taught primarily mathematics in various NJ schools, Catholic and Public, retiring from the School District of Chathams, NJ, in 1995. After retirement, Mary Ann and husband, Gerard, moved to the Holiday Heights Retirement Community that she loved for over 30 years. During which time she served the St Maximilian Kolbe Church as a Eucharistic Minister, serving Holy Communion to the homebound church members in the community. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Everett. They were a devoted and loving couple, with laughter shared daily, and blessed by their 40 years together. She is survived by her brother, John McCormack and many nieces and nephews, plus many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Mary Ann was loved and cherished by her family and dear friends.
