Maureen Helmstetter Williams, lovingly known as Moe and affectionately called Moe Moe by her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on June 13th, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on October 17, 1951, in East Orange, New Jersey, Maureen lived a life full of vibrant memories, cherished relationships, and boundless energy.

Maureen’s childhood in East Orange was filled with joy, laughter, and lifelong friendships, creating a tapestry of cherished moments she often revisited with her family. After moving to Lavallette in 1967, she remained deeply connected to her roots, frequently bringing her family back to the neighborhood that shaped her.

A spirited entrepreneur and dynamic businesswoman, Maureen was known for her relentless drive and innovative ideas. Whether through her involvement in the Junior Women's Club, Cozy Nook, Ma Bell,Rosetta Realty, or Spirit Factory, she left an indelible mark on her community. Even in her final days, her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she envisioned opening a restaurant in Lavallette with her beloved daughter, Lindsey.

Maureen loved her sisters' trips with her mother, creating treasured memories that spanned generations. She was the heart of her family, leaving behind her loving, devoted husband of 45 years, Lee Williams, who stood by her side with unwavering support and adoration.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lindsey Healy (and her husband Jeff) and Leigh Bossick (and her husband Chris), whom she lovingly spoiled and cherished beyond measure. Her legacy continues through her three adored grandchildren: Reese Healy, Charlee Rose Bossick, and Brooklyn Bossick, who will carry forward her warmth and wisdom.

Maureen’s spirit lives on in her brothers, Jack Helmstetter (and his wife Joyce) and Joe McGowan (and his wife Donna); her sisters, Maggie Happe (and her husband Len), Mary Beth Helmstetter (and her partner Gary Ottolaine), and Aileen Gulino (and her husband Wayne Beach).
