Maurice "Reis" J. Kain

Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Maurice “Reis” James Kain, 77 of the Holiday City-Berkeley community of Berkeley Township died on Friday, November 29th 2024.

Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, he resided there for 36 years and was part of the first graduating class of Monsignor Farrell High School. He also lived in multiple cities in Florida and NJ, mainly Aberdeen, before settling in Holiday City.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked across multiple industries in Purchasing and Project Management, including a long stint at Salomon Brothers as Vice President of Procurement. Reis thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. You could often find him golfing and playing pool with his holiday city pool club. Earlier in life, he enjoyed bowling, playing cards with Linda, her sisters Florence and Agnes and his brothers-in-law, Louie and Harry and hunting with Louie and Harry. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, rooting on the Yankees and Giants, and testing his luck in Atlantic City.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda (Tramutola), brother Robert (Maureen), son Brendan J. (Jennifer Marietta), son Ryan F., his 2 Granddaughters Sophie M. and Mollie M., and 8 nieces and Nephews.  Reis was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Mary. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday December 4th, 2024 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at  St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twp. .
