Meredith L.(Byron) Rimer, 81, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born and raised in Newark, NJ. She lived in Manalapan, NJ for 30 years, before settling in Berkeley Twsp., NJ in 2005. Meredith began her career at Bell Telephone Company where she was named Miss Princess Telephone before settling down to raise her family. She later worked as a banquet waitress and a Suite Captain at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Meredith had an active social life and enjoyed celebrating her Irish heritage, serving on several parade and festival committees. She was also a member of the Women of Irish Heritage Club. She enjoyed bowling, trivia, participating in and socializing at the Happy Hour.
She is preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Mildred (Waterbury) Byron and her siblings; Vincent and Leroy Byron and Janet McGrath. Meredith is survived by her loving family; sons Bob Lynch and Christopher Rimer, daughters and sons-in-law; Nancy and Kyril Suszko, Meredith and David Acacia, and Jaime Rimer and Vinny Tracy as well as seven grandchildren: Matthew, Kasey, Brianna, Christie, Andrew, Brian and Jake, and a wealth of loving extended family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 4 to 7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 6pm at the funeral home. Committal will be held privately.
