Life Story

A true definition of a real man was born on October 4,1957 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania (Mt Airy) section and was named Michael Wayne Lancaster he was the second oldest child out of Four to the late James Lancaster and Ernestine J Thompson. Michael received his education and the Philadelphia school system. After high school he enlisted into the United States Navy. He traveled to many places on 10 different ships. He retired after 22 years of service to our country. He then worked and Retired from Department of Defense as a police sergeant at Lakehurst naval base for 15 years.

A time to build

Wayne as he was called by most. He met the love of his life Linda Hardaway in December of 1979 Whom he has Known for 42 years and been married for 38 years. Has four wonderful children one boy three girls. To know him was to love him which everybody did he will leave you in stitches from being such a jokester.

Time to enjoy Life

He loved giving Fourth of July parties and being the center of attention with his dancing singing and making jokes. He loved traveling once he retired to see family in different states. He was a true Eagles fan that everyone knew not to call him when they were playing. He loved his two dogs Bruno (Chow Chow) Milo (Yorkie terrier seven months old)

Time to Serve

At an early age Michael excepted Christ as his personal Savior Early 2000 he became a member of Abundance Grace Church of Toms River NJ. He loved God’s word Michael was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior and only Heaven Knows what an Eternal Impact all his years of faithful praying have had on his family.

He is survived by his wife Linda Lancaster 4 children Lakeisha (Alfred), Wayne Jr,(Sanitha) Kia, (William) Tawana (Eric) 14 grandchildren Saniya, Shayla, Sean, Scott, Selestine, Aaron, Salina, Shaniqua (Jermaine) Martin, Brennan, Isiah, Shanice (Justin), Jules, Jayla. Four great grandchildren Zion, Jai’lyn Gabby, Jada. 1 Brother James (Cynthia) 2 Sisters Nadine (Willie) Stacey (Ron) 6 brother-in-law’s Buddy, Harry, Pete, Sam, Vincent, George 6 sisters in law’s Gloria, Mae, Shirell, Grace, Sandra, Margaret. Host of Niece and nephew’s and family members whom he loved dearly.
