Michael George Picariello

Michael George Picariello, 49 of West Long Branch, New Jersey, passed from this life peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Michael was born June 28, 1975 in Jersey City, New Jersey to George and Kathleen Picariello. He was a devoted father, a brother and loving & loyal son. He graduated from Seton Hall University, Class of 1997, with a bachelor's degree in accounting. From there he went on to obtain the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

For those who knew Michael, his one true passion was thoroughbred horseracing. He enjoyed all aspects of the sport, including owning several racehorses. Hardly a weekend would go by without Michael watching one of his horses' race or him diligently handicapping a race to pick yet another winner.

Michael also treasured his times at the beach with his faithful dog, Nico, and watching his beloved, yet frustrating, New York Jets. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael is predeceased by his father, George Picariello; grandparents, Hugh McNeill and Frances McNeill; James Picariello and Jenny Picariello.

Michael is survived by his mother, Kathleen McNeill Picariello; brother, Brian Picariello and his wife Heather; sons, Ryan Picariello; Jake Picariello and Luke Picariello.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, New Jersey. A Memorial Service will take place at the funeral home at 12 pm. Following the Memorial Service, a repass will be held at Cordi's Italian Gourmet, 101 Prosper Way, Brick Township, NJ.
