Mildred "Millie" Zecca

Mildred “Millie” Zecca, 89, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Tuesday August 18, 2020 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.

Millie was born in Union, NJ to the late Alexander and Henrietta DeMayo and lived in Belleville, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1994.

She worked for the County of Essex at Overlook Hospital and was a Realtor in Ocean County but her most beloved job was a stay at home Grandma to Marissa. Millie was a creature of habit, she loved to cook and watch MASH and was insistent on eating fish on Fridays and gravy on Sundays.

Millie is predeceased by her husband, Carmine Zecca, and her brothers, Alexander DeMayo Jr. and Frank Tortoriello Jr.

Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Heidi Tortoriello, sister-in-law, Philomena Tortoriello, her children, Thomas Zecca and Marianne Zecca, her Granddaughter, Marissa Sparno, and her fiancé Thomas Shadiack, along with her many loving Nieces and Nephews as well as dear friends, especially Ann Puma.

The arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. Entombment will be held on Tuesday, August 25th at 11am at Gate of Heaven in East Hanover, NJ .
