Pamela (Resch) Kane

Pamela Kane, 69 of Normandy Beach, formerly of Jersey City, passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2025. Pamela was born February 24, 1955 in Jersey City to the late Robert and Joan Resch.  She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and trusted friend.  She attended and graduated from St. Dominick Academy in Caldwell,  NJ she earned her BA in Communications from the University of Dayton and earned her Masters in Criminal Justice from Jersey City State University.  She worked for the Hudson County Prosecutors Office, reaching the rank of Captain.  She moved to Florida 17 years ago but always maintained a home in her childhood town of Normandy Beach where she was a lifeguard as a teenager.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pamela is predeceased by her parents, Robert Resch; Joan Darcy Resch and brother, Bruce Resch.

Pamela is survived by her husband , who was retried from the Jersey City Police Department, Thomas Kane; daughters, Tara Giacalone and her husband Michael of Rutherford; Erin DiPaolo and her husband Jeffery of River Dale; grandchildren; Michael, Amelia, Vivian, Olivia and Kane.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Highway 35 North Lavallette, New Jersey.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am, Monday, January 6, 2025 at St. Pio of Pietrelcina, Lavallette.  Committal Services will be handled privately.
