Patricia A. Scanlon

Patricia A. Scanlon (Sullivan), 87, of Ortley Beach, NJ passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she lived in Carteret, NJ before moving to Ortley Beach as a full time resident four years ago. Patricia was a Cashier for 23 years at ShopRite in Carteret, a parishioner of St Joseph’s RC Church in Carteret and of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Seaside Heights, NJ, as well as a participant of the Carteret Senior’s Club. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Scanlon Sr., her parents Patrick and Honora (Buckley), her brother Gerald Sullivan, and two sisters; Frances Raviola and Eileen Gannon. She is survived by her loving children Robert G. Scanlon Jr. of Ortley Beach, NJ, Joni Scanlon and her husband Stan Slachetka of Metuchen, NJ, and Carole Scanlon-Smith and her husband Mike of Middletown, NJ, her brother Dr Edmund O’Sullivan of Fergus, Ontario, Canada, as well as five grandchildren; Marisa Dietrich, Christina Slachetka, Michael Smith Jr., Gabrielle Smith, and Shawn Smith, and many loving nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 12pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 100 Grant Ave, Seaside Heights, NJ. An Interment Celebration will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10am at St Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Timothy E.
