Patricia Newman

Patricia Newman, 87, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Born in Barnegat, NJ, Patricia spent many years in Bayville before settling in Whiting, where she made her home for the past two decades.

Patricia devoted much of her career to serving the Bayville community as the Office Manager for Dr.Raymond Pacheloc. She was also deeply involved in local government, proudly serving as an elected Committeewoman for Berkeley Township, Ward 2. Together with her late husband, Patricia owned and operated the Seahorse Motel on Long Beach Island from 1987 to 2002, creating a welcoming place that became a cherished part of many family vacations.

A woman passionate about history and heritage, Patricia was a dedicated member of the Joshua Huddy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her interest in genealogy led her to volunteer her talents with the Ocean County Historical Society, where she contributed valuable research for many local families.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth (1999), and her son, John E. Williamson Jr (2021) She leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory close: her children Sheryl Powell and her husband Michael Powell, Kristina Bescript and her husband  Frederick Wiedeke and her son, Kenneth Newman Sr along with 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
