Philip Anderson Obituary

Philip Anderson 73 of Holiday City Carefree, Berkeley Twp., N.J. passed away peacefully at home Wednesday May 20,2020 with his wife by his side. Philip worked in Marine Construction at Caldwell Marine in Farmingdale, N.J. for several years. Within that time he traveled the world and mentored many associates where he was well respected and highly regarded. He was a member of I.U.O.E. Local 25 for 50 years and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge, Toms River #1875 for 11 years. "Philadelphia Phil" as he was known by many loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, his Corvette,playing his harmonica and banjo he would serenade all who would listen,he was an animal lover and loved his collection of hats which he enjoyed wearing. Phil was a warm outgoing person who would light up the room with his contagious smile. He had a warm and radiant personality and easily made friends wherever he wen. He impacted so many people with his sense of humor and goofy antics were endearing and lovable. Phil was a dedicated family man, hard worker and a man of integrity. But above all he was an example to all. Phil is survived by his beloved wife "Peggy" (nee Graham) A father of one child and three step-children,He was a Grandfather of seven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild. His parents raised Phil to be a generous, kind and thoughtful person.The values instilled in him impacted many throughout his lifetime. He had one sister Doreen one brother Russell and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family members His wife Peggy would like to give thanks to all who helped and prayed for us through this journey. Phil and Peggy appreciate all the love, support and care they received during Phil's journey, and that Peggy continues to receive. A unique beautiful soul who will be missed and loved eternally. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11am to 1pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ.
