Phyllis Macios, 86 of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully Sunday, April 18 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Eynon, PA she moved to Harrison, NJ where she attended Our Lady of Czestochowa School and Harrison High School. In her younger years, she loved traveling to the Jersey Shore and Lake Hopatcong with friends and family.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed working at the “Original Pechter’s Bakery”. She also worked at Worthing Pump, Otis Elevator, Equity Saving and Loan and First Fidelity Bank where she was honored in the “Presidents Club”.
Upon retirement she moved to Toms River, NJ and enjoyed her weekly trips to Atlantic City with her husband Ted. Most of all Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
Phyllis was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and known as “Mom Mom” to all. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts!
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Theodore Macios, Mother and Father Anna and Frank Karchefshy, Brothers, Chester, Stanley, and Thomas Karchefsky,
Sisters, Eleanor Roman, and Dolores Shanders
She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Kane and her husband Patrick, and Theresa Bruder and her husband Jeffrey. Grandchildren, Mary Kate Gordon (Jason), and Julia Kelly (Justin), Kyle Kane and Jeffrey Bruder. Great-Grandchildren, Nolan and Mckenna and a sister Virginia Siano, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, April 22, 2021 5-7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd.,Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30am Friday, April 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, Harrison, NJ. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
