Rachel E. Ohm, 91, of South Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home Friday, April 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lavallette, she spent her life there up until 15 years ago when she moved to South Toms River, NJ.
She loved crabbing and was the self-appointed crab warden on the Reese Ave. dock.
Rachel worked with a cleaning company that took care of the Bamboo Bar in Seaside Heights, NJ.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carl F. Ohm, her parents Ennis and Florence (Reid) Johnson, her siblings, Harold Johnson, Gerald Johnson, and Edith Brice, her granddaughter Erica Meyer, and a great grandson Franklin A. Meyer.
Rachel will forever be held in the hearts of her loving family; daughter Linda and her husband Bruce Rietheimer of Toms River, NJ, daughter Carla Ohm of South Toms River, NJ, grandson Carl Highfill and his wife Loren as well as three great grandchildren; Carleigh Highfill, Jayden Meyer, and Allie Meyer, and step grandchildren Alex and Haley, grandson in law Franklin Meyer and many nieces and nephews.
All arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ.
