Renos "Ray" Christou

Renos “Ray” Christou, 90, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Born in Limassol, Cyprus, he lived in Patterson, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp. 24 years ago. He was a Garment Cutter for Liz Claiborne in Seacaucus, NJ.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents Christos and Ermioni Charalambides, as well as his brothers; Michael, Steven, and Rody.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Anna (Alessi) Christou, his sisters Panayiota and Rita, and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 3 to 7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 10am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, 1 St. Maximilian Ln, Berkeley Twsp., NJ. Interment will follow to Ocean County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, michaeljfox.org, in his memory.
