Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Robert Burczyk on December 20th, 2024 at the age of 87. He lived a life marked by steadfast dedication to his family and his country. Robert had a passion for antique cars and was a member of the Vintage Automobile Club of Ocean County. He enjoyed history, gardening, exploring nature, listening to jazz music and traveling the world. If Robert met a stranger, he walked away with a friend. Robert had a vivid imagination, an incredible memory and a unique sense of humor.
Robert was born to Ambrose and Evelyn Burczyk on March 16, 1937 in Hendricks, MN. He lived in St. Paul, MN and Chicago, IL during his childhood and spent each summer at his family’s farm in Ivanhoe, MN. Robert enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 18, where he was stationed in Jacksonville, FL and Lakehurst, NJ during his 4 year enlistment. While stationed at Lakehurst, he met his beloved wife, Julie, in 1959. He moved to Toms River, NJ, where he raised his children and where his family enjoyed many summers together in his backyard oasis. He was the proud owner of Toms River Venetian Blinds for over thirty years. Robert was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for 65 years.
Robert was welcomed into Heaven in the loving arms of his parents, Ambrose & Evelyn and his son-in-law, Jack Cassidy. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family: his wife of 64 years, Julie Burczyk; his daughters Corynn Cassidy and Cherise Burczyk; his son Robert Burczyk and his wife Tracy; his granddaughter, Taryn Quinn and her husband Sean; his grandson, Collin Cassidy and his two great-granddaughters, Tessa and Kiera Quinn. Robert will be missed tremendously by his family and friends
