Robert F. Raney

Robert F. Raney, 63, of Bayville, NJ, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Born in Flushing, Queens, NY, he lived in Howell, NJ before moving to Bayville 20 years ago.

Bob was a Union Carpenter and was a member of Local 2018.

He was an avid New York Jets and Mets fan and had a passion for NASCAR.  Bob also enjoyed riding his Harley and camping with his wife, Gabriele.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary Raney.

He is survived by his wife Gabriele (nee Leflore), 2 sons Neil Raney of Howell, NJ, Robert Raney-Callahan of Bayville, NJ, a step son John Filistovich of Bayville, NJ, 3 siblings Veronica Flannery of Manasquan, NJ, Brian Raney of Florida, Noreen Merkel of North Carolina, two grandchildren Devin and Kayden Raney, his brothers in law Clay Leflore of Bayville, NJ, Michael Harrigan of Bayville, NJ, Bob Leflore of Texas, his mother and father in law Margrit and Dion Harrigan and Bob’s dog babies Oreo and Jack.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 10:00am until the funeral service at 1:30pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals O’Connell Chapel, 706 Hwy 9, Bayville, NJ.  Burial to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
