Rosalba Rizzo, 78 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. Rosalba was born June 23, 1944 in Ancona, Italy to Nicola and Santina DiBlasi. Her family moved back to their hometown of Messina, Sicily for a few years before moving to Maracay, Venezuela when she was 4 years old.
At the age of 15 Rosalba moved to New Jersey and shortly thereafter met her soulmate, Silvio. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to dance, travel, and cook. She was famous for entertaining all her cherished friends and family, both domestic and International. She loved everyone’s kids and grandkids as her own.
Professionally, she was a travel agent for many years.
Rosalba is predeceased by her parents, Nicola DiBlasi; Santina Sottile DiBlasi; her brothers Rocco DiBlasi and Salvatore DiBlasi; her sister Caterina DiBlasi Greco and her husband Silvio Rizzo.
Rosalba is survived by her daughter Lizbeth Rizzo of Toms River; sons Peter Rizzo and his wife Karen of Los Angeles, California; Nicholas Rizzo and his wife Christine of Phoenix, Arizona; honorary son Paul Rosetti and his wife Lori of Hope, NJ; sisters, Guiseppina, Marina, and Antonina; and grandchildren, Whitney, Nathan, Nevan, Maceo, Silvio, Sarah, and Maxx; and all her nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am, Thursday, May 18. 2023 at St Justin the Martyr RC Church with burial to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
