Rosalie Dolinaj Obituary

Rosalie Dolinaj, 86, of the West Point Island section of Lavallette, NJ, passed away January 11, 2025.

Rosalie was born August 20, 1938 in Hoboken, NJ. She grew up in Lyndhurst, NJ, later moving to Clark, NJ and finally settling in Lavallette in 2000.

Rosalie was smart and ambitious and worked full-time as a Systems Analyst Programmer for National State Bank (now Wells Fargo) and attended classes at night at Kean College. She later left the workforce to become a full-time mother.

Rosalie enjoyed knitting, playing piano, and was an avid collector of antiques. She enjoyed dinners and drinks with friends; Rosalie was fun to be with and people loved her. While living in Clark, Rosalie frequently volunteered at the William Robinson Plantation Museum, helping to build their herb garden.

She also was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 399, Ortley Beach.

Rosalie loved to travel with her husband John and together they visited over 40 countries on six of the seven continents. Her favorite place to be of all was at the shore, especially with her two granddaughters.

Rosalie is predeceased by her parents, Virginia (née Ising) and Carmelo “Charlie” Giangardella and her husband John Dolinaj.

Rosalie is survived by her daughter Alison Sipe and her husband Timothy, her sister Rita Wojciechowicz, and her two granddaughters, Jordyn Rose and Devyn Nancy.
